The education industry is always trying to update itself with the changing times, and with the recent shift of education from purely academics, to more holistic learning, the Central Board of Secondary Education has mandated for physical education (P.E) to be compulsory for children of grades 9 to 12.

This news comes shortly after their announcement of integrating AI related courses into regular curriculum earlier this year.

The importance of maintaining a healthy physical lifestyle for children has long been stressed on by physicians and dieticians and is finally being acknowledged by the CBSE. A good learning environment allows children to flex their logical reasoning skills, imagination, as well as their physical skills. Not only does regular exercise keep a child healthy, but it promotes healthy blood flow in the entire body, including the brain. This boosts their learning ability and raises their overall performance.
