There he was, huddled up in the staircase, our favourite spot for heart-to-heart talks. All wrapped up in his despair with tears clouding his big expressive eyes....and all because he couldn't score a century!!
No friendly gestures could buy his smile. And then it came as a streak of lightening in the dark clouds!
"So who do you think hits the best boundaries?" I tweeted .
"Virat Kohli, of course! And you know what, Ma'am............." and the glint in his eyes accompanied the smile of pride with an endless desciption of  how his favourite batsman is undoubtedly the best!
He got his SMILE back and I got my valuable lesson: TWIST THE CHILD'S PENSIVE MOOD BY TALKING ABOUT HIS/HER FAVOURITES
As adults, we continue our efforts to explain logic and reason out while the innocent minds are soaked in despair. Just drop the hurt feelings and begin a conversation about their favourites and see how magically positivity takes over!
